Bryndzove halushky (Potato dumplings topped with sheep cheese and fried bacon)

In Slovakia, people have the heaviest meal for lunch. This is the typical menu for lunch. Wooden bowl is best for serving.


Recipe (for 4 people)

  
 Potato                1kg
 Flour                300g
 Salt        3 tea spoon
 Bacon                 80g
 Sheep cheese    250g
 Milk

Boil the water enough in a pot and add 2 tea spoon of salt (excluded the above). Grate potato and mix flour and salt.
  Form small dumplings and throw into boiling water with the help of a punctured strainer. (check the hardness here and adjust it with flour)Leave the dumpling to swim in the water until they come to the surface.

  Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry it.   Remove the dumplings from the water, place them into a bowl, top it with the sheep cheese and fried bacon and mix well.
